Prayer Request
Graham Cuthbert
This is to give you an update  {as of June 7}  on the condition of my father (Robert).  My father has been in the intensive care unit since having heart by-pass surgery on May 10.  His recovery process has been significantly delayed because of damage caused by a heart attack he suffered several hours before the surgery.

On June 5 my father had tracheotomy surgery, which involved making a small incision in the neck.  This has allowed the ventilation tube to be removed from his mouth.  The breathing support is now  provided through the neck.  This setup is more comfortable for my father and it is hoped that this will help him make greater progress in being able to breath on his own.  As well, it is hoped that he will be able to gradually resume speaking in the next week or so.

My father continues to receive dialysis for his kidneys.

A doctor at the hospital has told us that there remains hope for recovery but the process will be slow, as my father's condition remains frail and he is not out of danger.   It is expected that the recovery process will likely require my father to remain in the hospital for a couple of more months.

My family appreciates the prayers and thoughts being offered for my father.

Graham

Please pray for my mother who is undergoing diagnostic tests for for an unknown cause for the need for frequent blood transfusions.  This is very taxing for her and my siblings who are managing her care, frequently driving her to hospitals and diagnostic centers out of town, and the other demands of caring for one's parent.
May they experience the Lord's assurance and care for each of them and deepen their relationship with Him and receive healing of relationships.

Richard who is undergoing financial and emotional stress.  May the Lord bless him with needed resources and the grace to rest in His care and provision.

Christ is Our Spouse - May the Lord's will be done in the lives of those who come, in the direction this fledgling group is to take and for a co-facilitator.
