Please pray for a woman (A.R.) and her son who have had no income for almost a year and may lose their home. Thank you.

Dear Friends and Family in Life and in Christ,

This past Monday, I nearly resigned from my position at University of Chicago when faced with having to care for a woman aborting a 22-week gestation baby who had Down's syndrome. I refused to care for her based on my faith and knowledge that only God is the giver and taker of all human life, and put myself into a difficult position with my superiors. As a result, they are giving me a very hard time. PRAY for me that God wraps me in HIS armour as I go about His business at the University of Chicago Hospitals' Labour and Delivery Unit. I also ask that you share this letter with as many friends and family as possible so they can pray too.

If I don't stay there and share God's presence, I am afraid the nurses will never speak up. So many of the nurses on our unit feel the same way I do, but have been afraid to express their feelings for fear of losing their job, and in the process, they are losing their souls! Many of these nurses are the primary breadwinners for their families. What happened on my unit on Monday when I refused to kill a baby has opened the eyes of so many nurses, and many of them wish to say no too. Many of these nurses have expressed deep regret and sorrow for what they have already done, and I have told them it is not too late to change!!! PLEASE PRAY fervently for ALL OF US who work in Labour and Delivery at University of Chicago. God is doing BIG things down there, but we need prayers more than anything.

Sincerely, Mary E. Bauer, RN

Dear friends in Christ,

Please pray for:
Josephine who had some very severe health problems.

Jacob, who will be 7 on Saturday and who has a serious neurological disorder.

The doctor who is purchasing our property back home has asked for an extra 2 months extension. Please pray that we will make the right decision concerning this matter and that everything will work out for God's greater glory, and our greater good.

We invite you to join us as we give praise for Mark, the gentleman who had been involved in a car accident 20 years ago and who had to have emergency heart surgery recently. Mark had to have a tracheotomy and while the doctor was making the cut he felt that he had had it. He cried out to God saying: Just take me, I can't take this anymore", and then he saw the eyes of Jesus. His cut from the trachheotomy has healed very nicely. Mark becomes very emotional when speaking about his experience and is unable to fully put it into words. We had prayed for a spiritual healing. To God be the glory!

In Christ,
Diane

Bob O'Connell I am asking for prayers for my 16 year old son Matt, and his mother. They both need prayer support. I am concerned about his home environment, and I pray that his academics improve.

Just a quick note to let you all know that Dad is at home now; on oxygen and seems to be better. The doctor changed his medicine; the previous seemed to be too strong for his system. We now have an excellent lady coming in each day Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM to help in whatever area is needed; mainly she prepares the noon meal and there is enough for supper. Mom is quite happy with her; she is friendly and efficient. She helps dad too and that means playing at least 2 games of crib a day :) I hear she is from Nova Scotia so she brings that down east flavour.

She is a diabetic herself and thus is well aware how to prepare proper nutritious meals. On Friday she tries to prepare something large for the weekends, in case none of the family is around.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and plse keep them up.

Welcome home George and Janet; the below message will show that dad had a heart attack while you folks were away. Thanks again and God bless. Hope I have not missed anyone. If I have, I apologize and ask folks to pass on the news.

Helen

A quick note nto to inform you that Dad had a heart attack Monday lst - Thanksgiving Day. He is now in Wakefield hospital and this week had 2 close calls and almost left us. He is aware of the seriousness of his condition and realizes he could go anytime and being 88 is another factor.
So everyone is home and waiting and visiting him.

Please pray that the Lord's will prevail and that whatever happens will be peaceful. His heart has been damaged; he was water on his lungs and is on strong medication which dries him out then they have to give him more medication so he can urinate so there you go. Apparently, this is quite common with heart problems and Dad has had congenital heart failure for the last year.

Pleas pray that all will go according to the Lord's plan - whatever that is - and that everyone is peaceful about it.

Take care and God bless,
Love,
Helen

Pray for our soldiers

According to the weather reports, it is my understanding that it is 122 degrees in Afghanistan right now -- and the low will be 111! Our troops need our prayers for strength, endurance, and safety. If it be God's will, give these men and women the strength they need to prevail.

Pray for our soldiers...

Prayer
"Lord, please hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."

Prayer Request: When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops around the world. Of all the gifts you could give a Canadian Soldier, Sailor, Airman, deployed in harm's way, prayer is the very best one.

Dear fellow prayer warriors,

I would like to ask you to pray for Steve a 23 year old young man who was in an accident last January. He has been in a como for 8 months with no hope of revival is the doctors diagnosis. His body is physically ok but his mind is dead, however, he could understand and hear but not respond.

I thank you for the miraculous healing that he will receive because of your intercession.

Love in Jesus & in Mary,

Annmarie

Kindly also pray for Jody, a 24 year old girl who is also in a coma as a result of a car accident.

Please add Father Octavio to your prayer list. He is a wonderful Priest who will be having heart surgery on November 7th.

Thank you, and may God shower you with His blessings.

In Christ,
Diane

Hi everyone.

I got another email from my sister Dorinda and she said my brother is doing better. His doctor told her that he's just going to have good days and bad days and to expect that sometimes it's not going to look so good.

They have him sitting up in a chair so that gravity can help his internal organs to function better.

So... thank you for praying and please continue to do so if you can, it's going to be a long recovery for him.

I'm really grateful to all of you. It's good to be in God's family with you!

God bless.
Sheila

Hi everyone.

Some of you may know this some not....

A few weeks ago my brother, St. Clair, who lives in Medicine Hat, Alberta, woke up unable to move. He was airlifted to hospital in Calgary and diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. This is a rare inflammation of the nerves in the spinal cord. Your immune system begins to attack your nervous system.

We were told it was very severe but also heard a lot of positive comments that people recover even from the most severe cases. He had been showing small improvements and was even sent back to the hospital in Medicine Hat because he was stable enough. But I just heard from one of my sisters this morning that his condition is getting bad again. I'm not even sure what that means or what the seriousness of his situation is.

I'm asking for prayers for him and for my parents and for my siblings. Pray especially for him to open his heart to God's love. Pray that for all of my family if you could! Thanks.

God bless you all. Thanks again.

Sheila
