In Memoriam

This past Lent saw Fr. Jim Whalen being called home to the Father while conducting a Pro-Life Mission in Thorold ON. As mentioned by Fr. Paul Burchat during the funeral homily "With the passing of Fr. Jim our country has lost one of its most dedicated priests working on behalf of pro-life....... Knowing Fr. Jim I can only imagine that the manner of his death was exactly as he would have planned if he could have had any say in the matter (i.e., during the preaching of a pro-life mission)."

Click on THIS LINK to download a file from Priests for Life Canada featuring Fr. Whalen's CV, the text of Fr. Burchat's funeral homily, as well as the last homily delivered by this remarkable priest. It also includes reflections by Michael Vande Weil, Operations Manager of Priests for Life Canada.
