the card was signed by our Moderator Fr. Scott McCaig, and extended

awe!

A Disappointing Vote on Marriage but We Will Press Forward!
Click
here to read the rest of the newsletter.
Dear Prime Minister Harper,
Thank you for following through on your election promise to revisit
the Liberal same sex legislation. I was disappointed that the government's
motion was defeated. I note the Bloc and NDP party MPs were denied
a free vote. Nor was I surprised to see only a dozen Liberal MPs
vote against revisiting Liberal legislation.
Judging from the polls, I am still convinced that
the majority of Canadians support traditional marriage and some
other institution for committed homosexual couples. In correspondence
with my own MP, Mr Baird, he refused to take a poll of his own
constituents on this matter as he claimed his position was clear
at the time of election. I recall the Conservative platform at
the time of the election was to support traditional marriage.
On such an important issue that affects the vision
of family life in our country, I am convinced that the only way
the will of Canadian people will be known on this issue will be
through a referendum. Would the Conservative government support
a referendum to be conducted at the same time as the next federal
election?
Yours sincerely
Chris Currie

Hi Jim,
OK, this is a bit embarrassing . . . but we
just finished editing and formatting the Tridentine Catechism
(the original Catechism from the Council of Trent order by Pope
Pius V in 1566) for distribution on CD-ROM. However, we messed
up and ordered the first batch without including the Adobe Acrobat
Reader application on it.
So now we have 87 CD-ROMs of the beautifully
formatted, 500+ page Tridentine Catechism sitting in my office
. . . and the only thing wrong with them is that they don't
have the free Adobe Reader burned onto them (which you can download
for Free from Adobe).
The Catechism itself is pretty awesome. It's
NOT the Baltimore Catechism that some of us are familiar with.
It's written more in the style of the new Catechism of the Catholic
Church centered around 4 topics: the Creed, the Sacraments,
the Decalogue (Ten Commandments), and the Lord's Prayer. It
was originally intended as a reference for parish priests to
instruct the laity on the Faith.
I've never seen it in print before and I've
been blown away with just how powerful these timeless truths
were taught . . . without all of the "new age spirituality"
that seems to muck up so much of our understanding of morals
and ethics today.
In any case, we've got 87 CD-ROMs sitting in
my office that we've already paid for and I need to get them
out.
So if you already have Adobe Reader (or if you
download it for Free by visiting their webpage), you'll love
these CD-ROMs.
The normal price is $40. But since I need to
sell these to recoup what we paid for them, Joe and I are willing
to part with them for only $27. So you get to profit from our
mistake. We'll even ship it to you for Free.
To get all the details, go to: http://www.prolifesearch.com/catechism/tridentine-catechism-sale.html
One last thing . . . we only have 87 of these
so when they're gone they're gone. When we get the CD-ROMs with
the Acrobat Reader installed we're going to sell them for $40
plus extra for shipping and handling.
In any case, if you EVER thought about owning
this terrific Tridentine Catechism, you'll never see it for
a lower price, and we'll pay for shipping:
http://www.prolifesearch.com/catechism/tridentine-catechism-sale.html
God bless, Jack
P.S. If you need a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader,
we'll put the link on our webpage. That way it won't matter that
the Reader isn't a part of the CD-ROM. Now there's no reason for
you NOT to take advantage of this great deal.

Do you know of one that should have been announced
here?
December 16 - Another pair of twins in
the VM family. Grace Mellor and Dylan Wade (16) share this day.
December 18 - Bethany Atkinson (15TH) turns my favourite

December 19 - Joshua Nadeau turns #18.
This week (past years) in Virtual Ministry land:

wow - I just went back and I saw that the Tan books site
was there, and remembering that we had a plea for their survival,
was pleasantly surprised to see that they are alive an well. I
also notice that this edition pointed to many in lighterside:
