Have you been to any of Tim Novecosky’s pages. He is doing the Upcoming Events, Prayer Requests, and Links pages. Thank you for an excellent job Tim!

Please see Dan’s Keyboard (Brittany, Harry, Daniel & Jesus), and please see Graham's Corner for a link to an interview with Raymond Arroyo about his recent book on Mother Angelica, the founder of the EWTN Catholic TV network.

Ted Sabourin TAN BOOKS

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ, I am appealing to you on behalf of Tan Books & Publishing which has gone under bankruptcy protection since the summer. In a time when the Catholic Faith has been under its greatest persecution, Tan Books has been among one of the top defenders and suppliers of Catholic teachings and moral beliefs. Tan Books was founded on October 13, 1967 exactly 50 years after the last apparition of Fatima. They have an excellent source of Catholic materials on the faith including both new and classic authors.
So my appeal is this, if you can afford to purchase an order or make a donation please do so. They must prove to the U.S. courts that they are a viable company and that they will be able to fix their financial woes. Joanne and I have just made a considerable order for Christmas Gifts and Catholic calendars for 2006. I hope that with your support and prayers Tan books will be able to continue its business for a very long time.
God Bless! Edward Sabourin

Jen and Jim McNeill Hi everyone,
I'm sure you have heard the cinema is presenting again the highly entertaining Sing-along Sound of Music on Nov 11th with all proceeds going to Saint-Vincent Hospital in Ottawa. We are trying to get the word out to as many people as possible to make this a big success for the hospital.

If you can, would you send this e-mail out to friends, relatives, and coworkers etc., to help us out with advertising? It would be a great help. We try very hard to keep costs down so we can donate as much as possible to Saint-Vincent Hospital.

Thanks and if you have any questions contact us. See you at the movies!

All the best, Jen and Jim check the website for details at www.familycinema.org

It is The Sound of Music “presented like never before! Much more than just a movie, the event begins with a spirited on-stage master-of-ceremonies who leads the crowd through exciting group activities, including hand gestures and motions that add to the fun of watching the film. Complimentary audience fun packs containing themed props allow crowds of all ages to become part of the beloved, song-filled classic.

The Ottawa Family Cinema is a non-profit, registered charity that has been operating in Canada’s capital for over 28 years. All proceeds from the two screenings of Sing-A-Long Sound of Music will be donated to help St Vincent Hospital in Ottawa.

Tickets are $14 for children (12 and under) and $16 for adults. For more information call 722-8218. You can also visit our website at www.familycinema.org.

The online petition to stop Bill C-407 is now up and running.

We are receiving a strong response from across Canada.

Please promote the online petition as soon as possible to enable us to inform our government leaders of our opposition to Bill C-407.

Bob Du Broy Hi.

We have learned that Carolyn Arends has laryngitis and cannot perform in Ottawa and Smiths Falls this weekend. Her management has said that tickets will be honoured at a concert she will give in Ottawa on Saturday 28 January. If you have bought tickets and cannot attend the concert in January, you may go to your point of purchase to have your money refunded.

Many Blessings … Bob

Carolyn says:

I am SO sorry I can't make it this weekend. I've not had laryngitis since the last time I was in Ottawa -- what's up with that??? I just can't believe it. I have friends blaming it on the Liberals but I'm too bummed to even joke about it.

Thanks for being so understanding. If there was anyway I could be there (and actually sound anything like a singer) I would.
