‘FOR THE GLORY OF GOD (OTTAWA)’*

is pleased to be hosting a Conference with

Father Mathew Elavumkal V. C.,

Director of the Divine Tabor Retreat Centre, Mumbai, India

 

This Conference will be held at two locations:

 

Fri. Sept.16th, 2005, 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. &

Sat. Sept.17th, 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

at The Bronson Centre, 211 Bronson Ave. Ottawa and

Sunday, Sept. 18th 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

at Senhor Santo Cristo Church, 1100 Kenaston Ave in Gloucester.

Fr. Mathew Elavumkal V.C. was ordained to the priesthood in the Vincentian Congregation in 1989.  He served for five years as Assistant Director of Retreats at the Divine Retreat Centre, Muringoor in Kerala, India (see www.potta.com). This is the largest Catholic Retreat Centre in the world. Over ten million pilgrims from all over the world have attended retreats there since 1990. Similar Ministries have since been started in Mumbai and Delhi, India.

 

Approximately ten thousand people attend the monthly First Friday ‘Preaching and Healing Service’ with Holy Mass and Adoration conducted by Father Elavumkal, at the Center in Mumbai.   Many miraculous healings take place during these Services, by the grace of God. Fr. Elavumkal is a very dynamic and captivating Speaker and has conducted Retreats and Conventions in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and is the Chief Editor of ‘Tabor Voice’, a Catholic magazine published in English and five Indian languages, Father Mathew is also a composer of Christian devotional songs.

 

Owing to circumstances beyond our control, the schedule has not yet been completed. It will be made available as soon as possible and will also be posted at the Conference Sites.

 

The weekend will include the following:

 

Daily Mass and prayers for healing

The Rosary

Praise & Worship

Divine Mercy Chaplet

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Benediction and Confessions

Blessing oil, water and salt and religious articles.

 

Admission to this Conference is FREE to enable all those who would like to attend to be able to do so.  However, a Goodwill Donation will be collected, to cover the Ministry’s expense and

Fr. Mathew’s Tithe.  We ask that you be as generous as you can be.

 

As Sunday’s location is not very near to food outlets, please bring a ‘Bag’ lunch. Soft Drinks will be on sale.  There are lots of places nearby to purchase food on Friday and Saturday.

 

Both locations are wheelchair accessible. Parking available at the Church on Sunday.

Who are we?

‘For the Glory of God (Ottawa)’ (Previously under the ‘Umbrella’ of His Mercy Ministries) has been bringing you excellent Conference Speakers since 1994, beginning with Fr. Jozo of Medjugorje.

·        Other International Speakers have included Fr. Trevor Nathasingh; Fr. Clement Machado;             Babsie Bleasdell; Prof. Courtenay Bartholomew, Mariologist; Fr. Robert De Grandis,                    Dorothy De Grandis Sudol; Fr. John Theodore, founder of the Association of Catholic Intercessors; Sister Emmanuel from Medjugorje and Fr. Stan Fortuna.  Locally, we have had the pleasure of hosting Fr. Marc Goring, Fr. Fernando Suarez and Fr. Ben St. Croix of the Companions of the Cross.

·        Co-sponsored Conferences have included the ’Fire Rally’ with the Companions of the Cross in 1999, and Fr. Mathew Naickomparambil from Potta, India; Charlie Osborne, Catholic Lay Evangelist and                  

      Fr. Rufus Pereira, Internationally known Deliverance Minister, with Jesus Gathers His People.

·        We have also hosted the visit of the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and unofficially, the Exhibit of Msgr. Ricci’s research on the ‘Shroud of Turin’.
