National Day Care Protest - Calling all
stay-at-home parents, concerned Grandparents and home daycare workers.
This Minister's Liberal government day care bureaucracy is going to cost (according to its OWN supporters) $6 billion a year. It will bankrupt taxpayers. It is not affordable.
It takes choices away from families.

defendMARRIAGE.ca News dM ACTION UPDATE: LOSS OF NON-CONFIDENCE VOTE Thurs., May 19, 2005 Dear Friends of Marriage: Just moments ago, we witnessed another non-confidence vote in Parliament that would have brought down the government and killed Bill C-38. Unfortunately, the Paul Martin government managed to squeak through this non-confidence vote by a hair's breadth, with independent MP Chuck Cadman casting the deciding vote. Paul Martin has had to use every trick and every resource entrusted to him in order to cling to power: he's spent $25 billion of your taxdollars doing so. We are witnessing the actions of a desperate and corrupt government. As Senator Anne Cools said, we are up against a Prime Minister who will use the public treasury against the very people to whom it belongs. Consider this: had it not been for the efforts of the Defend Marriage Coalition and people like you, Bill C-38 would have already become law. The defeat of the Martin government would have been the most convenient way to kill Bill C-38, but it is not the only way. The best defence of marriage is a good offence. Other non-confidence votes are on the horizon and there is every indication, the specifics of which I am not free to share, that there will be enough votes to bring down the government in the future; We can defeat the bill in the House by convincing more MPs to support marriage. The Official Opposition and some pro-marriage Liberals have been working very creatively to extend the C-38 Special Committee hearings by fighting for fair and full public hearings and also by committing to introduce a number of amendments. We can be thankful for two opponents of C-38: Vic Toews of the Conservative Party, who is leading the debate in committee on the pro-marriage side, and Pat O'Brien, who is working hard on the Liberal side to find a way to kill Bil C-38. We can be confident, that ultimately, we will win this fight to defend our faith, families, culture and country. Sincerely, Roy Beyer Defend Marriage Trust |

Hello all Members and friends of Maryvale Academy. Starting a new independent Catholic school is no easy feat. Apart from the physical effort needed, a great spiritual effort is also required. A spiritual battle exists when any project tries to come together with it's sole purpose to build up the Kingdom of Heaven. The battle is strong and heating up these days as we move closer and closer to our September opening. With that in mind we have devised a counter attack; which is to solicit as many people as possible to provide a "Prayer Cover" for this great and wonderful project. We ask that you not only pray for our protection but also register with one of the programs that we have made available that is convenient for you. As a prayerful people, this should not in anyway put extra burden on you or your family. We do however want some form of commitment by registering your name in one of our programs and ask that you continue to meet that obligation of prayer. Please see our www.holyfamilyinstitute website under Maryvale Academy header "Prayer Cover" link for more information. I would like to introduce Patricia (Patty) Klambauer as our prayer cover coordinator. Please contact Patty @ mailto:prayer@holyfamilyinstitute.ca for more information. Thanks and God Bless your effort and support. Cyril Dowling |
