I am Pierre Lemieux and I have put my name forward

as a nominee for the Conservative Party in the Glengarry-

Prescott-Russell riding. If I win the nomination, I would

be your Conservative Party candidate in the next election.

Who am I ?

I am a practising Catholic who loves my faith and loves our

Church. I am pro-life, pro-family and believe in the sanctity

of marriage. I am an adorer in the St Margaret Mary

Cor Jesu Chapel.

I have been married for 20 years and am the father of 5 children aged

2 years old to 15 years old.

I am running because I want to bring honesty, integrity and principles to politics. We need laws that defend life, defend the family and defend all that is just and good. Pope John Paul II has told us to Be Not Afraid.

Education: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Science

Professional Engineer and certified Project Management Professional

Experience: I served my country for 20 years as an Army officer & retired at the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.

I have worked in high tech. I now have my own company.

Other: Previous President of Catholic Home Schoolers Association of Ontario

Previous Board Member of St Joseph’s Workers for Life and Family

Current Vice-Chair and Treasurer of my Parish Finance Council

What Can You Do ?

1. Buy a membership to the Conservative Party for $10.00 NO LATER THAN Monday, 25 April 2005. This membership allows you to vote in the Nomination Meeting on 10 May 2005 if you are a member of the Glengarry-Prescott-Russell riding. Have your husband, wife and children 14 years or older buy a membership (14 year olds have a vote at a nomination meeting). Have your friends buy a membership.

2. Fill out a membership form. Be sure to fill out all shaded areas, especially Applicant Signature. Include payment (cash, cheque, credit card). Call me at 222-9772 and I will make arrangements to have it picked up. -OR-

Sign up on-line at www.conservative.ca under ‘Join Today’ in the left margin. A credit card must be used and the name on the credit card must be the same as the name of the person joining (i.e. a husband cannot use his credit card to pay for his wife’s membership). Print a copy of the confirmation as proof.

3. Come to the Nomination Meeting to vote. This is critical! Your presence and your vote are desperately needed. Not many people show up to nomination meetings. Your attendance is essential – I need every single vote if I am to be successful.

Nomination Meeting: Tuesday, 10 May, registration starts at 6:30 pm, at the Casselview Golf Club in Casselman (Exit #66 on Hwy 417- then follow the signs for the Casselview Golf Club. It is on the opposite side of the overpass to Casselman itself). Please come, as every single vote matters !
