"Be not afraid to tell Jesus that you love Him; even though it be
without feeling, this is the way to oblige Him to help you, and carry you
like a little child too feeble to walk." St. Therese of Lisieux I will SAY that there will be a showing as a

Hi Jim: I notice that your link to our site uses an out-dated URL. I

and recently relinquished the ".com" altogether. Also, our
head office is no longer in Hamilton, but at our home in Cornwall. Here is the old link: Catholic

Greetings.
Because I was away on some holidays, I didn't have a chance to post any
photos from our Companions of the Cross 'Youthfest' event that was held a
month ago at the Tudor hall in Ottawa. This Saturday Evening event is
always 'appended' onto the mini-conference we hold on the same weekend.
This year Youthfest broke all attendance marks - with over 330
participants! It was a great spiritual success, with many young hearts and
minds touched by God's grace. Fr. Mark Goring performed his promised
backflip not just once, but twice! (next year he promises to do another
amazing feat - preach a whole homily in under 10 minutes!). If you would
like to view some photos of this event, please visit our online PictureTrail photo album by clicking here: http://www.PictureTrail.com/gid6791970.
Special thanks to Richard Donnelly for taking these photos. Peace - Fr. John Vandenakker |

Hi
Jim Here's
my marriage song "One Man One Woman" I'm
quite happy with it. Feel free to pass the link around. The mix may change
a bit. However, it's pretty well done. www.DavidMacD.com/lyrics/one_man_one_woman.htm Blessings
David MacDonald Along with my book review section, that I mentioned last week, I have also been wanting to have a feature of the week song. My list of the songs that are going to be available to hear in VM are: 53 beads by the Apologist; Fr Stan Fortuna; Dennis & Angelina Girard's "Divine Mercy Chaplet”, but it seems to me that if you click above on David's link - you can hear his "One Man One Woman” I don't how this works but I am listening to it now. |

Do you know John Pacheco?
Do you know that Virtual Ministry's slogan is what will you do?. Well,
this slogan is NOT for John! Many of you know about him going up against
Dalton McGuinty, for the Ottawa South seat in the last provincial
election. He has numerous webpages, dedicated to various solid "current events” such as http://www.march4marriage.ca/.
He is a board member of Holy Family Institute http://www.holyfamilyinstitute.ca/,
he hosts [often at costs that hit his own pocket too hard] visits and
debates by renowned apologetics. And he would be upset, that I am
blowing his horn. This employed Married Father, must never sleep! I
WANT YOU TO SUPPORT JOHN, and you don't know enough about him click here
to see some of his last week's activities. NOW
what will you do?.
what will you do?. are you on john's email
lists? Should you be? I am not asking you to be John Pacheco, but he needs some French friends, some money, LOTS of PRAYER SUPPORT, and you attending.

Friends: I am sending this so Suzanne doesn't have to relay phone messages and I
can get to as many people with the current status as possible. Suzanne is
quite burnt-out at this point and we have dealing with child-care
arrangements bouncing Monique back and forth between friends and family
while Sue is at the hospital and I am at work. Fortunately Matthew was
comfortable enough the last couple of nights to let Sue go back home to sleep in her own bed rather than
on the pull-out chair/bed in his hospital room. Here is our understanding from what the doctors have told us to date. Matthew has a ruptured appendix, which the surgeon would not operate on
because of potential severe complications. The appendix, to protect
itself after the rupture, had sealed itself off against the colon forming
a large mass. They have been pumping him full of antibiotics for the last
10 days to deal with the infection in his system from the initial rupture.
They may release him to go home this Monday Mar 7. This is yet to be
confirmed, as they are concerned about his continued pain and the size of
the formed mass. If released on Monday Matthew would go back to CHEO
6 weeks later when the mass will have hopefully atrophied to the point at
which they would be comfortable to operate. Our dilemma is that in those 6
weeks things could flair-up again and he would have to be rushed back in
to emergency. Thanks for all your best wishes and continued prayers. Mike p.s Matthew is at 5 West at CHEO. Visiting hours are 3:00pm to 8:00 pm. If you don't want to pay for parking, you can park on Lynda Lane off Smyth Road about 2 blocks East of CHEO. |

Canadian Tire Retracts Statement on Sponsorship of Pro-Gay 'Marriage' Show TORONTO, February 28, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Two weeks ago LifeSiteNews.com reported that Canadian Tire was standing behind its sponsorship of a controversial show called "My Fabulous Gay Wedding." Since that time the corporate offices of Canadian Tire have been showered with calls, emails and faxes, not only from concerned patrons but also from local store owners who were confronted by customers. Susan Rogers, Senior Vice President of Canadian Tire Corporate Affairs, spoke with LifeSiteNews.com today to clarify the situation. Rogers admitted that the LifeSiteNews.com story was "completely accurate based on the information that you had been provided" by Canadian Tire. She added however that the information which was being sent out by Canadian Tire's customer service representatives "was propagating a falsehood." "Canadian Tire is not a sponsor of this program in any way shape or form," she said. "Our involvement was to allow the producers of this series to shoot one segment in a Canadian Tire store. We did not receive compensation for use of our facilities nor did we pay any money to the producers. Canadian Tire has not funded the (My Fabulous Gay Wedding) program or facilitated its production through any paid advertising." Rogers said she was not certain how rigorous the consideration of the request to film the pro-gay 'marriage' show in the store was but she added, "I can tell you we'll be much more diligent in the future." Rogers apologized for the misinformation in the original customer response email. She added however, "Canadian Tire takes no position on the definition of family; we consider that a decision best left to Canadian society as a whole." My Fabulous Gay Wedding, a six part series is to air on Global Television in May, one segment will include footage of Canadian Tire focusing on it's gift registry. THE LAST WORD THIS WEEK - Cyril Dowling Jim, I have evaluated these two sites on behalf of my kids prior to letting
them use it. They are two very good, loyal, and what appears at
least on the surface to be very good, solid resources of the Catholic
church for kids in Grades 1-6 (MyFriend), and youth in Grades 6-12 (DisciplesNow).
I recommend them for VM families who need an extra boost and to give
something "GOOD" for the kids who just wanted to surf. http://www.myfriendmagazine.com/

This
is a story about four people named EVERYBODY, SOMEBODY, ANYBODY,
and NOBODY. There was an important job to be done and EVERYBODY
was asked to do it. EVERYBODY was sure that SOMEBODY
would do it. ANYBODY could have done it, but NOBODY
did it. SOMEBODY got angry about that, because it was EVERYBODY's
job. EVERYBODY thought ANYBODY could do it but NOBODY
realized that EVERYBODY wouldn't do it. It ended up that EVERYBODY
blamed SOMEBODY when NOBODY did what ANYBODY could
have done. this
is a story about the BODY family. they are named EVERY,
SOME, ANY & NO we
are all part of the BODY of CHRIST
