Subject: William H. McEachern 1925-2004 - A man of God

"God is glorified by our utter dependence on him."

Bill who repeated that phrase so often to us has gone from our ranks to be with God, this Friday night at 10:30 pm. He was alone at the time

and peaceful. He had been and was surrounded by our prayers and by

God's army of angels and saints. As his nurses told us he was always grateful and did not complain.

I am writing you this news rather than phoning, because there are

just so many to reach... Bill has touched so many lives.

The funeral arrangements will be made with Hulse, Playfair and McGarry

Watch for Sunday's newspaper... and another email.

Thank you for your prayers.

Hello,

I have been asked to coordinate the St. Mary's All Saints Eve Party this year for Sunday October 31st. I have had an announcement in the bulletin for 2 weeks and I have had hardly any response. If I don't get volunteers by early next week I will cancel this years event.

I need people in the following area's

1) Registration after the 9:15 and 11:00 AM Masses. This includes taking names of families and collecting candy. (1 or 2 for each mass on for October 17th ,24th and 31st)
2) Set up. I need people there early to set up the hall for the festivities (5 people)
3) Candy distribution - each child goes home with a bag of candy, we need to take the collected candy and distribute it into the bags (5 people)
4) Hot dog Supper. We normally proceed the event with a hot dog supper. I need someone to coordinate this as well as staff to work in the kitchen (5 people)
5) Games - I need someone to organize and run the games. We usually have about 10 different games and each game requires 1 or 2 people to run it. (Total 15-20 people).
6) cleanup - I need people to stay behind to clean up the hall (10 people)

7) program - I need someone to put together a program for the young people and provide musical, instructional and dramatic entertainment. (10 people)

Therefore to make this happen I need 7 leaders and about 30 people (Some people can do multiple tasks). So far I have 5. Therefore I am begging people to let me know If you are willing to help. I have Betty-Ann collecting names of Volunteers, her number is in the bulletin, or you can E-Mail me at JoeyPaul@virtualministry.com or see me Sunday after mass.

Thank you
Joey

Hello everyone,

I have two opportunities for you to help out two great causes.  Please consider the following but don't feel obliged.  Also note that if you want to buy a ticket for yourself, you must be an Ontario resident.  However, you may purchase a ticket as a gift for an Ontario resident if you are not one yourself.  Prizes are fully transferable.

Serena Ontario - a registered charity that promotes/teaches natural family planning (sympto-thermal method) You can buy a $10 raffle ticket that gives you the opportunity to win one

(or more) of 4 family 'drive-away' vacations to one of 80 resorts in North America.

This means that you would drive to the location you choose (from a list of about 80) with your family (2 adults and up to 3 children under age 18) and stay for 4 days/3 nights.  Accomodations at a deluxe hotel/resort, meal voucher are included.  Also some activities may be included (depending on location).  The value of each prize is $560.  There are only 780 tickets

printed and so the odds are great.

=======================================================================

Township of North Grenville Recreation Complex/Kemptville Youth Centre - the Twp is raising money to help pay for the cost of the new Recreation Complex. This complex will house two ice rinks, a multipurpose hall, performing arts theatre and a visitor centre.  Also, there will be a conversion of the old arena to a curling facility. The Kemptville Youth Centre is a great charity

helping out with the cause.  They will receive a portion of all ticket sales as well.  They provide services to kids 11 through 18 and provide many activities and learning opportunities.

You can purchase a $20 raffle ticket (or 3 for $50) towards a 2004 Colorado Crew Cab Custom Cap truck.  This truck is worth close to $40,000.

=======================================================================

If you would like to purchase tickets for either cause, please email me at: LauraKelly@virtualministry.com

Thanks for thinking about it.  And, please, forward this along to anyone you feel may be interested.  A ticket could make a great Christmas gift. ... Laura Kelly

Subject: Protest Supreme Court Appointees

HELLO ALL

Campaign Life Coalition will be co-organizing a protest at the Supreme Court, on October 4, starting at 9 AM.

On this date, the two new Supreme Court justices, Abella and Charron, will be officially sworn in - in a private, invitation only ceremony. It will not be televised.

We need you there to help us raise awareness of these radical judges, and the dangers they pose to Canadians' rights and freedoms.  What we are asking is that you simply show up, and peacefully witness with us by carrying a protest sign, for about an hour or so. That's it!

For more info. on the judges, please see the article below...the bottom line, is that these judges believe in creating law rather than interpreting it, and they are bent on destroying Marriage in Canada.

Let's not stand idly by while our country is taken from us...let's stand for Truth.

If you are able to help, please RSVP to me, at AidanReid@virtualministry.com

An official press release will go out this week.

Pass it on! Aidan Reid

Hi Jim

Please pass on this prayer request for Suzanne Friis.  Her daughter Karen, 8 1/2 mths pregnant is being induced to deliver her baby.  They have not heard a heart beat for the last 3 days and assume the baby has died.  What a tragic time for this family, let us storm the heavens to give them the grace to get through this difficult time.

Peace in Christ ... Anne

Hi,

Please pray for Fr. Francis Frankovich.  He had some problem with his heart (racing, skipping beats).  He was unable to celebrate Mass.  They have put a heart monitor on him and we should know more by next week.

Please pray for him, but do not send e-mails or try phoning him.  Thank you!

Fr. Rick

Royal Bank Coerces Employees to Display "Rainbow Triangle"

The Royal Bank of Canada launched a sexual orientation campaign to request its employees to "be supportive" of "gay, lesbian and bisexual issues". Many believe the Bank's Executive is abusing its power as an employer by exerting their misguided "morality" with a full-scale assault on their workforce. Is this the beginning of the new Corporate Canada? How far will they go? The inference of this militant campaign is the Bank will not tolerate "unsupportive" workers and that is discrimination and intolerance.

The Bank opened the campaign with the first edition of a regular newsletter "Rainbow Space". The document "highlight(s) the importance of sexual preference as one of RBC's primary diversity elements". They make a strong appeal for employees to personally demonstrate support of homosexual, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues by displaying a rainbow coloured triangle on their "desk, cubicle, or office". Apparently displaying the sticker is voluntary however the document goes on to imply that unsupportive co-workers are homophobic and won't be tolerated.
A new "underclass" of workers has been established.

The "Rainbow Space" campaign is not just an abuse of power; it is fanatically distorted. In their terminology section the Royal Bank describes gender as something "assigned to them at birth". Basic commonsense is a child is born a boy or girl however not according to the Royal Bank. The Bank also uses "Two-spirited", a religious term to describe "people who embody both the male and female spirit". In addition the RBC categorically states "About 10% of the population, including within RBC's employees, is gay or lesbian." Statistics Canada recently did a survey and found that 1.0% of the population is homosexual or lesbian. The use of extremist terminology in an attempt to mislead employees is appalling.

With this campaign the Royal Bank of Canada is wandering from its core business of banking and entering into the field of propagating misguided morality. The newsletter leads you to believe that homophobia is a problem in the Bank. It states "Many employees simply do not know the facts about GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered), while others are openly hostile" According to RBC Vice President and Executive Sponsor Jacki Challenger "the Bank has no widespread homophobia". Why then is the Bank propagating their new morality? It appears that a new era of Inquisitions has begun with new standards of right and wrong and the Royal Bank is leading the way.

Almost five years ago the Royal Bank's Vice-President announced that RBC is taking the lead on such issues as they sponsored the Toronto Gay Pride Parade. In 1999 VP Edmee Metivier, said "You don't always do sponsorship for the rewards, you do it for a good cause." Metivier added. "We respect the right of our customers to reject this idea. But we see ourselves as leaders". According to Tammi Lisson, Sr Management Champion, the "Rainbow Space" operation has only reached 2,000 employees. Ms. Challenger, Vice-President, says the newsletter will soon be "Corporate wide". The Royal Bank has 60,000 employees at 2,100 locations in Canada, the United States and 28 other countries. The Bank spends $133 million dollars annually in employee learning initiatives and has massive resources. They administrate over $1.1 trillion dollars and donate or sponsor over $57 million annually to various causes. With homosexual, lesbian and bisexual issues as one of their "primary" core values the Bank promises to "lead" the corporate world in promoting extremist morality.

If unchallenged this militant campaign will spread from corporation to corporation-including Canada's largest employer, the government. It is conceivable that with-in a few months you will not be hired by corporate Canada or given a promotion unless you are "supportive" of homosexual, lesbian and bisexual issues. In an effort to stop this fanatical trend, Canada Family Action Coalition is calling upon all people of faith, good will and commonsense to boycott the Royal Bank beginning October 4th by closing your personal and business accounts and refusing to invest in their misguided morality.

When acting on this, ensure that the Bank knows why you are doing it.
