Men's breakfast at St. Augustine's
Since
there hasn't been any Mission of the Redeemer breakfasts lately, the following
announcement may interest you (taken from the bulletin at St. Augustine's Parish
on Baseline Road at Merivale). If going, you may wish to give the organizer a
call earlier rather than later so that he is not flooded with numbers of people.
****
Men's
breakfast, Sat., Sept. 25th, in St. Augustine's church hall. Come hear Bob
Tedesco speak about the challenges of being a Christian man in the 21st century.
Bob is the father of 10 grown children, an aerospace engineer and a leader of
the Christian community in Pittsburgh. Cost: $3.00. Call Tom Gleeson
(225-4350) for more details.
Yours
in Hymn, Matt
PS..Could
this be a possible type of forum that MoR may transform into?

Dear
Friends,
If
the Holly Jones case wasn't proof enough of the horrific relationship between
child prngraphy and child abuse, ... click here
for the 4 page word document (prngraphy is a deliberate typo in order to

Go

Subject: Wayside Ceili Update...
Dear
Jim,
Quick
update...
My
fundraising committee has decided that we will not be making
reservations/reserve tickets for the door of the MacMaster/Leahy night
unless tickets are prepaid. I guess Wayside has lost too many
"reserved" tickets/payments in the past. It's our way of being
more accountable for our fundraisers and the guests we invite. This also applies
to our own Wayside families.
So,
to reserve tickets, people will have to mail their payment to the school.
In the meantime, I can keep tickets temporary reserved by phone or email. And they'll
be waiting at the door when you arrive.
Thanks
& God bless,
John
P.S.
This way, there's no exchange of money at the gate of the event, something that
will make us all breathe a bit easier. This will apply to this ceili only...
