Claudette Trépanier (nee Bujold)
June 9th - A servant — called home to the Lord!
(full obituary in the Ottawa Citizen, Friday, June 11th; and Le Droit
(Ottawa) Sat., June 12th.)

It's been a heavy week for us emotionally. My mom passed away suddenly in the early morn Tuesday June
9th. She was 63.
She had a brain anorism (sp?). A
major artery burst in the brain, and apparently took her life instantly -
quicker than a heart attack, the coroner tells us.
It still took us all by surprise, as she had no major health problems.
She had been visiting with my brother Andr* and his family Tuesday
evening and was in great spirits! She'd
also had a recent visit in Edmonton with another brother (Don) and his family -
my niece's graduation. Many people
are telling us they had conversations in the final days of her life, of course
unknowing it would be their last time speaking with her —
and are thankful for these moments.
She is the first to pass on among her siblings (10 in all), most in
Toronto area and New Brunswick. So
I've spend the past two days trying to get in touch with them all, as well as
many local friends.
We chose the theme of 'a servant' because mom did her best when she
served others (which was MOST OF THE TIME!!)
She was a VERY giving women, sometimes at the sake of her own health and
rest. She had a boyfriend in the
recent 6 years (my father passed away June 1995).
Gaetan is taking this hard. We've
insured him that he's very much part of the family (he's the only grandfather
our younger children have known....) and we will very much continue to include
him in our lives.
In recent years she was working for Christian Horizons, at two adult
special-needs home in the Ottawa/Orleans, where she was also loved and
respected.
I am at peace for mom right now, though heavy-hearted —
we will all miss her dearly (the older grandchildren are taking it hard
too — she loved them all so much and spend what time she could with them,
stretching herself between us all!!...)
What a gifted treasure we had in her as mother, sister, grandmother and
friend...
