Hello everyone,

If you are opposed to the new "taxes" for health care in Ontario, do pass this on and sign the petition by clicking the site below.

Thanks. Monica ...  http://www.taxpayer.com/ON_Honour_the_pledge.htm

I know that we mentioned this last week ... lets get counted - I will continue to encourage you to do so!

From: tedandjoanne From: United Mothers/Citizens Voice

Dear Edward & Joanne,

A great big thank you to all of you who have sent off letters calling for the annulment of Bill C-250 and for your MP's stand on same-sex marriage. If you have not yet had a chance to do so, please send off a letter.  We need to let politicians know where we stand.  Remember, all it takes is 5 minutes to make a difference!

One month from today, on June 28, we will have the opportunity to profoundly influence the course that Canada will be pursuing over the next four years.

In politics, unlike the Olympics, there is no prize for second place. Either a bill like C-250 becomes law or it does not. Either a responsive pro-family candidate gets elected or constituents are stuck with an unresponsive anti-family politician or government for the next four years.

CANADA CANNOT AFFORD SECOND PLACE!

Now is the time to be pro-active!
So what do we do?  Well, there are two things that politicians listen to:  one is the knock on the door of a person holding a large cheque; and the other is the knock on the door of  "1 Million Canadians" speaking with a united voice.

In the past politicians could afford to ignore the best efforts of social conservative advocacy groups in Canada because, individually, these groups represented less than 10,000 Canadians.  The level of disrespect shown to these dedicated organizations at recent committee and court hearings has been appalling.

United Mothers and Citizens Voice is out to change that.

Imagine 1 million or even 100,000 Canadians uniting with ONE VOICE for a better Canada.

When we achieve that number you can be sure that ! politicians will be sitting up and paying attention because with politicians - numbers matter.

In order to make a difference, we need your help in spreading the word.  We are printing thousands of pass-along cards for you to share with friends, family, colleagues, organizations, and church congregations from coast to coast.  If you can help to distribute these, please go to the "volunteer" link at www.1millioncanadians.com and simply check off the "passalong" box in addition to any other volunteer opportunities that you may be interested in.

We look forward to sending some to you!

If you could also send a donation to help offset the cost of printing and shipping, we would really appreciate it! ($10 per 100 cards would be wonderful, tho! ugh not necessary.)

Lastly, let us begin charting the c! ourse of where WE WANT CANADA TO BE GOING.  Click on the "Act Now" button at www.1millioncanadians.com and send off a letter regarding our latest issue:  "Listen up:  I am Canadian!"

Every freedom loving Canadian should take a good hard look at these three statements:

Tax Me ... I'M CANADIAN.
Waste My Money... I'M CANADIAN.
Take Away My Freedom of Speech... I'M CANADIAN.

This is NOT what it should mean TO BE CANADIAN.

We invite you to speak out against these and other critical issues by sending off a letter to politicians and letting them know that this is DEFINITELY NOT what it means to be Canadian.  You can learn more about these issue! s at  "Listen Up:  I am Canadian!" at http://www.1clicklobbyist.ca/index.php?affid=2549

If we are successful in our election campaign we can look forward to spending a lot more time next fall, and over the next four years, writing thank you letters to our MP's for the wonderful legislation that they are introducing in the cause of a better Canada.

I think that this is a change worth working for right now!  I am sure you would agree.
Sincerely yours,  Michele Dow ... United Mothers & Citizen's Voice... Now you're being heard.

Subject: Post Card campaign

Good Morning;

Catholic Exchange is a great web site I have as my home page.  I saw this note this morning and thought it was important to tune in and see what John Pacheco is doing.

Hope you all get to watch the interview.

God bless    Cindy

Canadian Viewers: Tune In!

John Pacheco, a Catholic Canadian family issues activist and a frequent guest columnist to Catholic Exchange, has been interviewed by the Canadian Broadcast Corporation's Danny Globerman.

Among the subjects of the interview is the National Post Card campaign to send 1 million Post Cards to the Prime Minister of Canada to maintain the legal status of marriage in Canada to one man and one woman.

The interview is to air tonight on CBC Ottawa (Cable channel 8) between 6:00-7:00pm — check the TV listings for the exact time. Other Canadian stations may carry the program as well.

While discussing John ... he had warned us about the following:

Tonight {june 3rd} on CBC, there will be a report on how evangelical Christians are trying

to get the attention of the political parties.

My hope is that john has a videotape and that we can get to see this PAST taping.

Gary "Nick" Hogman Requests Prayer For His Wife, Cindy, Who is Battling Cancer-Truth!

Summary of eRumor
Thirty-two-year-old Cindy Hogman has been diagnosed with cervical cancer and with slim chances for survival.  Her husband, Gary "Nick" Hogman asks your prayers.  .

The Truth

A new version of this email started circulating in 2004 that claimed that Nick "Hogan"  is a soldier serving in Iraq while his wife is back home suffering from cancer.

His name is Hogman, not Hogan, he's not a soldier in Iraq, and although the prayer request was true at one time, Nick told TruthOrFiction.com in January of 2002 that his wife was doing well.
He says he hopes that he and Cindy can grow old together...and thanks you for your prayers.  He adds, "There are so many people in this world suffering from cancer, pray for them all."

Hi folks.

I will be joining Tom Edwards and his Mission Team from Renewal Ministries next month (July 6-23) as they travel to Tanzania. Fr. Scott McCaig, Nick Simoni, Fr. Mark Goring & Fr. Randy Hendriks have all been there in the past with previous Mission Teams (you can see a report of a previous mision here: http://www.renewalministries.net/missions/Tanzania.html). I am very excited about going on such a wonderful missionary outreach! One of my principal tasks will be to lead a priests' retreat while over there and join in speaking at a number of other rallies. I have copied other info below that you might find interesting. Please pray for us!

Peace - Fr. John V.

///// FROM: TOM EDWARDS

Dear Team,

Our time is fast approaching for departure to Tanzania on July 7th. Please continue to enlist many intercessors to stand behind our efforts there.  As you know, our itinerary will include the National Charismatic Renewal Rally  for Tanzania in Mbeya.  A miniumum of 15,000 people will be

attending.  Our venues include daily rallies, workshops, a four day Priests retreat and a four day Sisters retreat.  The Bishop of Mbeya has issued an invitation to all his priests.  Renewal Ministries will be helping with their finances, both for priests and sisters, so we expect many to be present.  We will then move to Iringa for another large rally and workshops.

We are blessed to have one more priest added to our team bringing our total to 10 team members.  They are as follows:

Patrick and Diane Brown----Battle Ground, WA

Denny Donahue----------------Temecula, CA

Tom Edwards--------------------St. Augustine, FL

John Mathe-----------------------Interlachen, FL

Karen Stein----------------------Ann Arbor, MI

Sr. Rita D'Souza---------------Channing, TX

Fr. Timoth Graff-----------------Lodi, NJ

Fr. Maurice Larochelle-------Hampton, NH

Fr. John Vandenakker--------Ottawa, Ont., Canada

please click here to find out about the trip / what to be praying for and when the events are happening.

For a few weeks {including this week - where Ted & Joanne mention it up above - we have a few different entries about the 1 Million Canadians, and we also asked you all about The Angelicum  ... read on

Subject: 1 Million Canadians.Com

Greetings everyone,

Early next week you will get a more formal e-mail from the Angelicum informing you of this effort:

www.1millioncanadians.com/passalongcard.htm

Last night, Steve Gonzalez and I spent 7 hours non-stop getting this Voter's Guide prepared:

http://www.1millioncanadians.com/voterguide.htm

This group means business, and I believe that they are going to be the unifying force of the pro-family groups in this country.  We need to get on this bandwagon and support them 100%.  And after we get on the bandwagon, we need to get off the bandwagon and start pushing it!

They will be running an Ad in the National Post tomorrow (Saturday).

They have money and they mean business.

What YOU need to do is spread the word about their efforts.  Do it NOW, please.  Send the above links to your email address book and do your part during this election.
