I know that we
mentioned this last week ... lets get counted - I will continue to encourage
you to do so!
From: tedandjoanne From: United Mothers/Citizens Voice
Dear Edward & Joanne,
A great big thank you to all of
you who have sent off letters calling for the annulment of Bill C-250 and for
your MP's stand on same-sex marriage. If you have not yet had a chance to
do so, please send off a letter. We need to let politicians know where we
stand. Remember, all it takes is 5 minutes to make a difference!
One month from today, on June 28, we will have the opportunity to profoundly
influence the course that Canada will be pursuing over the next four years.
In politics, unlike the Olympics, there is no prize for second place. Either a
bill like C-250 becomes law or it does not. Either a responsive pro-family
candidate gets elected or constituents are stuck with an unresponsive
anti-family politician or government for the next four years.
CANADA CANNOT
AFFORD SECOND PLACE!
Now is the time to be pro-active!
So what do we do? Well, there are two things that politicians listen to:
one is the knock on the door of a person holding a large cheque; and the other
is the knock on the door of "1 Million Canadians" speaking with
a united voice.
In the past politicians could afford to ignore the best efforts of social
conservative advocacy groups in Canada because, individually, these groups
represented less than 10,000 Canadians. The level of disrespect shown to
these dedicated organizations at recent committee and court hearings has been
appalling.
United Mothers and Citizens Voice is out to change that.
Imagine 1 million or even 100,000 Canadians uniting with ONE VOICE for a better
Canada.
When we achieve that number you can be sure that ! politicians will be sitting
up and paying attention because with politicians - numbers matter.
In order to make a difference, we need your help in spreading the word. We
are printing thousands of pass-along cards for you to share with friends,
family, colleagues, organizations, and church congregations from coast to coast.
If you can help to distribute these, please go to the "volunteer" link
at www.1millioncanadians.com
and simply check off the "passalong" box in addition to any other
volunteer opportunities that you may be interested in.
We look forward to sending some to you!
If you could also send a donation to help offset the cost of printing and
shipping, we would really appreciate it! ($10 per 100 cards would be wonderful,
tho! ugh not necessary.)
Lastly, let us begin charting the c! ourse of where WE WANT CANADA TO BE GOING.
Click on the "Act Now" button at www.1millioncanadians.com
and send off a letter regarding our latest issue: "Listen up: I
am Canadian!"
Every freedom loving Canadian should take a good hard look at these three
statements:
Tax Me ... I'M CANADIAN.
Waste My Money... I'M CANADIAN.
Take Away My Freedom of Speech... I'M CANADIAN.
This is NOT what it should mean TO BE CANADIAN.
We invite you to speak out against these and other critical issues by sending
off a letter to politicians and letting them know that this is DEFINITELY NOT what
it means to be Canadian. You can learn more about these issue! s at
"Listen Up: I am Canadian!" at http://www.1clicklobbyist.ca/index.php?affid=2549
If we are successful in our election campaign we can look forward to spending a
lot more time next fall, and over the next four years, writing thank you letters
to our MP's for the wonderful legislation that they are introducing in the cause
of a better Canada.
I think that this is a change worth working for right now! I am sure you
would agree.
Sincerely yours, Michele Dow ... United Mothers & Citizen's Voice...
Now you're being heard.

Well many of you saw the circulated
prayer request for the cervical cancer victim - please read below the
following statement - it looked something like the following:
My Name is
Gary "Nick" Hogman, Some of you receiving know me, some do not.
You have received this because I found your email address and just sent it to
you.
My wife Cindy is 32 years old and has just been diagnosed 3 days ago with stage
4 cervical cancer and her chances for survival are very slim. She was pregnant
with our second child and had miscarried at 5 months and now we know why.
This is a request for you to forward this email to everyone you know asking for
prayer. If you are religious or not. The more people that pray f! or her to be
healed the better. Company email distributions, friends, family, people you
don't even know. Just forward them this email and let them do the same,
Pray and forward. It only takes a second to hit forward and click on any
distribution list you have. Please do it and don't delete this, your prayer
will save her life. Please pray and ask everyone you know to pray to their
Lord, no matter what religion for the HEALING of Cindy, removal of all cancer in
her body so she may enjoy all that life has to offer,! and to continue to be the
wonderful mother to our 5 year old son Michael. The power of Prayer is
unsurpassed. Unsurpassed. I want the whole world to have her in their
prayers the next few weeks. God will hear our cry.
Please do not be offended by my plea. This is only a request for your help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this and helping with our
quest for healing, no words can express how much power we have when we do a
little extra to come together.
Regards, Cindy's in love husband.

Hi
folks.
I
will be joining Tom Edwards and his Mission Team from Renewal Ministries next
month (July 6-23) as they travel to Tanzania. Fr. Scott McCaig, Nick Simoni, Fr.
Mark Goring & Fr. Randy Hendriks have all been there in the past with
previous Mission Teams (you can see a report of a previous mision here: http://www.renewalministries.net/missions/Tanzania.html).
I am very excited about going on such a wonderful missionary outreach! One of my
principal tasks will be to lead a priests' retreat while over there and join in
speaking at a number of other rallies. I have copied other info below that you
might find interesting. Please pray for us!

FROM: TOM EDWARDS
Dear
Team,
Our
time is fast approaching for departure to Tanzania on July 7th. Please continue
to enlist many intercessors to stand behind our efforts there. As you
know, our itinerary will include the National Charismatic Renewal Rally
for Tanzania in Mbeya. A miniumum of 15,000 people will be
attending.
Our venues include daily rallies, workshops, a four day Priests retreat and a
four day Sisters retreat. The Bishop of Mbeya has issued an invitation to
all his priests. Renewal Ministries will be helping with their finances,
both for priests and sisters, so we expect many to be present. We will
then move to Iringa for another large rally and workshops.
We
are blessed to have one more priest added to our team bringing our total to 10
team members. They are as follows:

This
group means business, and I believe that they are going to be the unifying force
of the pro-family groups in this country. We need to get on this bandwagon
and support them 100%. And after we get on the bandwagon, we need to get
off the bandwagon and start pushing it!
They
will be running an Ad in the National Post tomorrow (Saturday).
They
have money and they mean business.
What
YOU need to do is spread the word about their efforts. Do it NOW, please.
