As many of you are aware, Bill C-250, the dangerous legislation which seeks to criminalize free speech and quash religious freedom, has not yet passed the Senate. Thanks to a miraculous intervention, the legislation will not be voted on until after the Easter break sometime (on April 20 or thereabouts). Now that heaven has given us the nudge, it's time to step up and speak out.
Some people think that the battle is over. IT IS NOT. We must remain vigilant and show our vigorous and PUBLIC opposition to this Bill so that the totalitarians in government get the message that we value our religious liberty.
Let me remind you all that all of us have a solemn duty to defend the Church and our faith against aggressive government intimidation and fascist legislation. Inaction is not an option. Inaction is sin. Inaction will cost us dearly.
In order to show the Senators and Prime Minister Paul Martin that there will be heavy political consequences if this legislation becomes law, we are organizing a mass demonstration on Parliament Hill to get the message across.

I've been able to secure an interview on CHRI Radio next Wednesday. I don't know when they will be actually airing it. The Archdiocese of Ottawa has declined our invitation. They said they needed more time to assess. Don't really need them anyway. I have faxed each Archdiocese in Ontario and Quebec (other than the more Northern Dioceses). I also intend to fax all Catholic Parishes in Ottawa tonight after work. Keep up the great work. We're smokin' now. jp

Both Vic Toews and Jason Kenney have been asked and it is looking positive but I haven't gotten official word back from them yet. ... I also got a call from someone today who is putting in a FULL PAGE ad in the National Post tomorrow about our rally!!! Things are rolling along very nicely. Connie

Hi Jim!

i need your help. I am assisting John Pacheco in organizing for the rally against Bill C-250 on Sat. We are anticipating up to 20,000 people at this rally, and need people to assist with security and marshalling. Can you put the word out, and get people to email me if they are able to help?

I need them from about 12:00 noon till 5 pm at the earliest and latest, on the day of the rally. (going from Supreme Court to Parliament)
