Think About It! After seeing the Movie "The PASSION"! There is such
reality here!

Subject: Saltshakers - March 2004 newsletter
Hi Jim,
I am forwarding to you a newsletter I receive from Steve Malts of saltshakers.com. It is a messianic site with many educational materials for Jewish people and their quest to understand who Jesus is. What I find interesting is how they address whether "The Passion of the Christ" movie is anti-semetic or not. Their explanation of who really killed Jesus is - that the only person who can be held responsible for the crucifixion is God Himself, on behalf of all mankind.
You might want to cut and paste it into the virtual ministry site.
I agree that we all killed Him with our sins, but God permitted it and required it. It wasn't the fault of the Jews. If they had agreed to let Jesus go instead of Barabas, God would have had to find someone else that would put Jesus to death. The debt needed to be paid. the Jews were preordained to be part of the solution, so we really could be thanking them!!
I believe the site can be very useful for all kinds of info re how to speak to our Jewish brothers on many issues.
God bless. Click here

Subject: AS CHRIST'S PASSION BECOMES OURS
So much being said these days about "The Passion of the Christ". Here's one more link you might like to include. "It speaks to the very DNA of our spiritual identity as Christians" and I believe the same holds true for not-yet-Christians. Their DNA is the same as ours! They just don't know it - yet. ... Ta. Lil

Do
