Subject: FREE DESK
Blessings Jim!
Justin and I have a
desk that we don't require and want to give it away. It has a large work
surface and three side drawers on the left and a cupboard door on the
right. The board that holds the drawers in place (on the side where the
drawer runners are attached) needs to be tightened up because at present
you can't use the drawers. They come off the runner. It is an old desk and
it was given to me a couple of years ago. There is a small lift in the
wood on the surface on the far right hand corner but it is definitely
usable.
Do you know of anyone who might like to have this desk? If
so, please have them call me at 788-2211 (daytime) or 226-5445 (evenings).
Please feel free to forward this e-mail on to others. If we don't hear
from anyone within a week, we will need to get rid of it. I tried Saint
Vincent de Paul but they don't want anything that needs repair -- even if
it's just a small repair.
Many thanks, Kim

Hi Jim,
I talked to Mary Assaf after 11 o'clock
Mass today. Mary has a son, Raphael Assaf, who is an Actor and Director in
his feature film debut "I AM MY FATHER". At last year's New York
International Independent Film Festival this film was nominated for 4
awards and received 2 - Best Directorial Debut and Best Cinematography.
And our very own Mary Assaf features in this movie. The movie is based on
Mary's family which was dysfunctional, like all families, and how Raphael
came to terms with his Father.
Mary asked me to get the word out
that this movie will have it's premier screening next Sunday, August 25,
4:30 PM at the Mayfair Theatre. There will be a fee of $ 8.00 to cover
costs for theatre rental and the reception to follow the screening. For
more information please visit www.anikfilms.com
Jim please consider
sending out a special notice on your Virtual Ministry as time is
short.
Thanks and God bless, Ben
p.s. Mary Assaf said that
the start of the movie had some coarse language and a brief sex scene;
however, the theme is spiritual. Maria and I will be at the screening next
Sunday afternoon and I hope you will deem it fit to put this on your
Virtual Ministry.
editor " so sorry Mary and Ben, I put this aside,
and have only read it way too late... I pray that all those that Our
heavenly Father wants to see this movie - get to!
