Notwithstanding
the item which appeared in the recent Companions of the Cross Newsletter,
I would like everyone to know that it's now OK to visit Deacon David
Apperley. At the time that the newsletter was put together, David did not
appreciate visitors, but the situation has changed.
He is still at
the Elizabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Unit, room 534 (subject to change).
He is bed-ridden, frail and speaks very softly but appreciates company for
short periods. He may even be sleeping when you drop in ... time for
meditation ... make a note in the visitors log ...
So during these dog
days of summer, make it a point to stop in and ask for David's
blessing.
