Subject: USBORNE BOOKS FOR YOU?

To all the ladies,

Get ready - Christmas is coming. If you have children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, Godchildren or neigbourhood children you buy presents for, now is the time to start shopping!

As many of you know already, I am selling Usborne books through home parties. These books are very high quality (using superior paper and bindings) with prices starting at under $3. There are over 1000 titles to choose from with the majority being under $10. The age range for these books is from infant through high school and beyond.

I will be hosting a party at my home on Thursday, October 25th at 7:30pm. There will be about 100 books on display and of course, catalogues will be available to help you make your choices. Just this month, 80 new releases came out. There is something for everyone.

Please RSVP by email or you may call me at: 258-9688.

If you would prefer to host a party in your own home (or join with a friend and have it in her home), then drop me a line or give me a call and we'll work out a date.

Hope to hear from you soon, Laura Kelly Ottawa usborne@ncf.ca

"Well Done D'Arcy!"

-----Original Message-----From: D'Arcy Dufresne

Hello every one: This is D'Arcy. I have been getting a lot of chain mail about the September 11th Attack on U.S.A. and I have saved some of it forwarded others and deleted some but I thought this one, though not particularly touching or poetic does illustrate nicely the transient nature of our lives. Remember this world is not our Home, we are just passing through on our way to eternity. This is not meant to scare us but to place things in the proper perspective. We need to seek a personal relationship with Jesus. God suddenly seems appropriate and real when we are faced with how helpless we really are. The veil of control has been lifted to reveal our dependence on God. My 70 or 100 years of life (if I make it that far) will be forgotten in view of Heaven's (or Hell's) eternity. Not much matters here except making a decision to turn and face God or to turn your back on him. In the end those are the only two choices available. The choice is made not so much by lip-service or our actions alone but by what motivates our actions in faith. Pride and vices can just as easily do good works as virtue can. What is your motivation? Love? Love for what? Humanity, money, recognition as a "good person" or Jesus Christ? .....
.....On Monday there were people fighting against praying in schools
On Tuesday you would have been hard pressed to find a school where someone was not praying
